Time To Earn Your Stripes

Become a Ref
We're looking for officials for the 2009 season.

Are you up for the challenge?

FirstRegister with USLacrosse.  STOP! This part is not optional! If you already have a fan, player or coach membership, you must add the officials category to your account. Once registered as an official with USLacrosse you will receive a membership number. Keep that number handy ... you'll need it later.

The USLacrosse registration fee is $25/$35/$55 for Youth/High School/Adult memberships. This is a separate from the cost of the training seminar at Invesco Field @ Mile High.  A portion of the USLacrosse fee goes to pay liability insurance and is required of all officials regardless of their officiating level. Registration also entitles you to receive a monthly copy of Lacrosse Magazine. (Youth members need to pay an extra $10 to get the magazine). You can register online here: USLacrosse Registration Page.

SecondAttend the training sessions. The training is mandatory and is only offered once a year. There is an additional fee for the training seminar that covers the training material, ID badge and test administration fees.

Master Training Session
Sunday 22 February, 2009
Invesco Field at Mile High

Registration deadline is Sunday, 22 February 2009.
Training Fees: $40. This covers the cost of the training material, test administration fees and lunch.

ThirdYou must pass the rules test. The rules test will be offered at the conclusion of the training session.

FourthCertification. Upon completion of the previous steps, you will be certified to officiate youth level games. Upon certification you will receive an ID badge indicating your officiating level, patches to be worn on your uniform and instruction on how to register with the assigning software.

Attending the training session and registering with USLacrosse does not guarantee you will receive assignments to referee games. These steps, however, are required to make you eligible eligible for assignments.
