We're excited you want to join us by becoming a youth official!  There are a few steps you need to take in order to ensure that you are registered in the correct places.

1. Create/Update your USLacrosse membership. You'll also need your ULacrosse membership number for step 1, so keep that handy. There is a $50 fee for new members to USLacrosse. In addition to other benefits, this comes with a yearly subscription to their magazine, Lacrosse Magazine.  More importantly, members includes you under the blanket insurance policy of USLacrosse.

What if I already have a membership because I am a player  or coach?

You'll need to update your account to include your role as an official.  Update My Account at USLacrosse.

What if I don't have a membership at all?

You'll need to go to USLacrosse and register as an offical. Register with USLacrosse

2. Register as an official with the Colorado Youth Lacrosse Association (CYLA).  You'll need your USLacrosse number in order to register. Register with the CYLA

3. Attend in the Classroom Training. This training is offered once a year and covers rules, positioning and mechanics. If you cannot make the in-seat training date, an online option will be available. READ MORE on our Website.

4. Participate in the on-field training.  There are several youth scrimmages available where you'll be able to put into practive the mechanics you learn in the classroom. READ MORE on our Website.

5. Pass the USL Youth Rules test.  The in-seat and online training will cover the rules and provide you an opportunity to take and pass the youth rules test.
