You must block out the days you are not available to work. Here's how.

Block An Entire Day

Let's say you know you are unavailble to work a certain day. To be completely removed from the list of available officials, you need to block that day out of your calendar. 

• Make sure that both ASO and RMLOA are checked in the "Groups" box
• Check the "Block All Day" is set the "Actions" box
• Click on the appropriate day in the calendar. 

The date will appear in solid red, indicating you are unavailable to work that day.

A correctly blocked day will look like this. Make sure you see both RMLOA and ASO blocked below the calendar.

Block A Partial Day

Let's say you know you don't get off work until 4pm, so you know you can't work any games before 5, but you do want to be considered for a late game. You partially block a day to limit your availability to a certain time-range. Make sure you include drive time in your availabitity.

• Make sure that both ASO and RMLOA are checked in the "Groups" box
• Check the "Block Partial Day" is set the "Actions" box
• Set the time range you are unvailable in the "Time Range" box
• Click on the appropriate day in the calendar. 

The date will appear in solid pink, indicating you are limited as to when to work that day.

A correctly blocked day will look like this. Make sure you see both RMLOA and ASO blocked below the calendar. The times you have blocked will display below the full calendar

Clear a Block

If your schedule changes or you've accidentally blocked a date you didnt't mean to, you can clear the blocks on that date. Clearing the blocks will make you available to the assignors for that date.

• Make sure that both ASO and RMLOA are checked in the "Groups" box
• Check the "Clear Blocks" is set the "Actions" box
• Click on the appropriate day in the calendar.

The date will go from red or pink to white, indicating you are available to work that day.

Since this is how assignors contact you, is important that you keep your personal information on Arbiter Sport up-to-date. This includes you phone number and email address, as alerts to new assignments will go to the email address on record.

To update your account information:

Arbitersports is our assigning software.  The various league assignors go there to look to see who is avaiable to work on a given day, so it is important that you keep your calendar updated.

To access Arbitersports, you can click on the link in the High School dropdown on this website or in the menu to the right.   You can also access the website directly at:   https://arbitersports.com

Arbitersports also has a mobile version of their website that you can access from your mobile device.  There is a fee for mobile access.

You'll need a separate username and password for this site. It is not the same as the username and password for this site. If you have worked as a referee with CHSAA before, your login will be the same as it is for the other sports.

Logging In

Once you've logged in to Arbiter, you'll need to choose and organization to view. In the upper right hand corner of Arbiter you'll see a menu box.  Choose the option to switch views.

This will bring up a list of organizations a) to which you belong and b) use Arbiter for assigning purposes.  Your list will vary, but should include RMLOA (13094) and Aurora Sports Officials (105775).  Click on the link that says "Officials" for the RMLOA.
